39/09 – 让他三尺又何方

明朝正德年间状元舒芬在京供职.
他的儿子多次写信来说邻家要侵占墙基, 要他写信给父母官,争回墙基.
舒芬看了信就回了一首诗:

“千里捎书只为墙, 让他三尺又何方.万里长城今犹在, 不见当年秦始皇.”

父亲的意思是. 多次写信来只是为了墙, 为何不退一步让让对方.
秦始皇当年用了多少人力财力, 想办法把基业传给后代, 那结果又如何?
只不过留下荒唐的见证.

邻居看见舒芬礼让的精神, 大家互相谅解, 和睦相处
