在很久以前,有个乡下的农夫发现自己的田地长了一个大南瓜.
他想,这么大的南瓜一定是稀有的宝物.
于是,他就匆忙地把南瓜运到京城送个皇帝.
皇帝看见了南瓜,也不觉得什么.
既然农夫已经送来,他就打赏了两头牛,一辆牛车.
农夫高兴地回去了,并告诉村里的人.
有个贪心的员外,听见了农夫的经历,脑子打了个歪主意.
他找来一匹千里马,就送到京城给皇帝,希望也能得到奖赏.
皇帝很高兴地看见千里马,于是就要打赏员外.
他就说:
"既然你送来千里马,相信你家也不缺什么.我就送你一个很特别的礼物."
皇帝命手下把大南瓜送给员外.
